Motion
made (Bouwkamp) and supported (Vander Meulen) to approve the agenda
as written. Motion carried.

of Minutes for March 29th 2010
Motion
made (Bouwkamp) and supported (Harwood) to approve the minutes for
March 29th, 2010 with minor fix to name; Motion carried.

Vander Meulen gave the Planning Commission an update on the Township
Board.
b)
John
Vander Meulen on behalf of the Ensley nature Preserve supplied a
Requested Language Amendment that would replace the current wording
in section 3.19 of the Ensley Township Ordinance.
C.
Information and Inquiry Including Public Comment
Woodard’s present to continue the discussions of re-zoning 120th
and Cypress to commercial allowing them to open a coffee hop
business.

Supplied two Requested Language
Amendments that would replace the current wording in section 3.19 of
the Ensley Township Zoning Ordinance.
Old Business: - (for
this week moved to after “New Business” to accommodate discussions
of the Requested Language
Amendments).
Motion made
(Vander Meulen) and supported (Dravk)
A.
Discussions continued on the rezoning of 120th and
Cypress. A motion was made (Bouwkamp) for the
Planning Commission to move forward with the rezoning process
120th & Cypress to Commercial. Matt
Bonzo called for a vote with the following results; 5 yes, 1
no.
B.
Two public meetings were scheduled for the May 24th
Planning Commission meeting.
a.
The
Planning Commission will be considering amendatory language to the
zoning ordinance concerning governmental lands, structures,
buildings, facilities, uses and activities within the township.
b.
The
Planning Commission will be considering the rezoning of particular
land(s) currently in the A-R (Agricultural Residential) district to
C (Commercial) district designation.
C.
It was agreed that the review of the ordinances would be put
on the back burner while the process of
rezoning is taking place.
New Business:
A.
Three Requested Language
Amendments for section 3.19 of the Ensley Township zoning ordinance
were presented, two by Robert Hall (Zoning Administrator), one by
John Vander Muelen (Nature Preserve Rep.). The Planning Commission
voted All “I’s” to update the Amendment to replace “local
government” with Ensley Township”
B.
Robert Buckowing contacted Matt Bonzo
with his resignation.
Motion
made by (Bouwkamp) and supported (Palmer) to adjourn at 9:40 PM.
Motion carried.
