Ensley Township Planning Commission Meeting Minutes

February 25, 2008

Meeting called to order at 8 o’clock by Chairman Phil Starr.

Pledge of Allegiance recited.

Members present: Phil Starr, Keith Bouwkamp, Matt Bonzo and John Vander Meulen.

Members absent: Ralph Palmer, Ron Bell and Robert Buckowing.

Approved agenda for February 25^th 2008.

Approved minutes of January 28^th 2008.

Phil presented Citizen Planner program [continuing education] – Phil Starr and Keith Bouwkamp want to attend both meetings scheduled for March 4^th and March 11^th 2008.

Matt Bonzo gave an update on the ZBA meeting held on February 12^th 2008.

Discussion on the Planning Commission By-Laws update – add “and temporarily suspend his / her participation as a Planning Commission member” to Section 5, B-1.

Discussion of special meeting to be held on March 24^th 2008, parcel splits, parts of survey of township survey, and how to handle questions from guests attending.

Bob Hall will make sure the meeting is on the Web-Site – Doug Verduin.  Bob Hall gave a report – Informed Planning Commission about a training class on March 31^st 2008 in Muskegon covering Site-Plan review.

8:25 Started work on Master Plan – Discussion: Waterfront developments, Driveway spacing, Future roadway improvements, Future uses of the Master Plan, Drainage and Commercial & Industrial Districts.

Motion to adjourn by Keith Bouwkamp, supported by Matt Bonzo – all ayes, adjourned at 9:35pm.
