Members Absent: Bob Hall (without notice), Ralph Palmer (without notice)

Meeting:

A.     Pledge of Allegiance:

Matt Bonzo called the March 30, 2009 meeting of the Ensley Township Planning Commission to order at 8:05 PM.  Pledge of Allegiance was cited.

B.     Roll Call:

Matt Bonzo

C.     Approval of Agenda:

Bonzo presented the agenda for March 30, 2009 as written.  Motion made (Bouwkamp) and supported (Buckowing) to approve the agenda.  Motion carried.

D.    Approval of Minutes for February 23, 2009:

Motion made (Harwood) and supported (Vander Meulen)

A.     Correspondence Received:

a)      Building and Electrical Permits Summary Report for 2008

b)      Training Material – Michigan Citizen Planner (MSU)

B.     Township Board Representative (John Vander Meulen):

a)      Building Permits: 0

b)      Electrical Permits: 0

c)      Zoning Compliances: 2

d)      Board Meeting Update: Wage Increase for Boards and Committees approved

e)      Forest Committee Update: Progress update on Ensley property trail

g)      Misc: Bob Hall to attend Zoning Administration Training

c)      Master Plan being sent to surrounding townships

A.     Alternative Energy Zoning:

a)      Work on Wind Turbine ordinance

B.     Master Plan:

a)      Matt made updates discussed at last meeting and will bring the updated copy to April 27, 2009 Meeting

New Business:

A.     Solar Energy:  Research information for creating a township ordinance

B.     Outdoor wood burning units:  Research information for creating a township ordinance

C.     Ordinances:  To review and update township ordinances to ensure they are in line with the updated Master plan
