Meeting:

                        Matt Bonzo called meeting to order at 7:30.  Pledge of Allegiance was cited.

E.           Correspondence Received

a)      MTA Michigan Township News Magazine – Ask Cindy Harwood to ensure new members
(Cynthia Dubay) get a subscription.

Reports:

A.          Township Representative

John Vander Meulen gave the Planning Commission a cursory update of the Township Boards last meeting.

B.                 Information and Inquiry Including Public Comment

None

C.                 Zoning Administrator

Old Business:

A.                 Zoning for a Commercial District

a)      We are on Task 6 of Main Street Planners Plan booklet

b)      Main Street Planners will be preset at the next PC meeting to discuss ordinance language for the   commercial district.

New Business:

             A.     Medical Marijuana Ordinance

a)      Motion made (Bouwkamp), seconded (R. Harwood) to discuss the Medical Marijuana Ordinance and whether it was ready to be passed on to the township board for their review and voting. Vote: 5 Yes; Bonzo, Dravk, Dubay, Harwood, Vander Meulen. 1 No; Bouwkamp

B.     Planning for 2011, items the PC could work on in 2011 were discussed: Alternative Energy, Signs Ordinance, progress through the ordinances chapter by chapter.  Nothing firm was decided.

C.     Matt Bonzo and Ross Harwood terms expire.  They are both required to submit a letter to Supervisor Starr if interested in being appointed by the township board to new terms.

D.     Ask Cindy Harwood to include the township web address in all correspondence for the township.

Motion made by (Bouwkamp) and supported (Vander Meulen) to adjourn at 8:10 PM.  Motion carried.
