Meeting called to
order by Chairperson, Cindy Harwood at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag and a moment of silence.
Twenty-five residents
and guests present.
Deputy Brad Wade
announced that he only had 5 complaints since September 5th
to report. One of those was a B & E at 124th and Elm. A
Detective found stolen property at the residence. This is the
lowest number of complaints in a long time.
He also reported that
Deputy Green will be our Township Crime Watch officer for the year
2010
Deputy Wade stated
that Lt. Tom Greer will be guest speaker next month and the topic
being Newaygo County Jail.
Kelly Smith was
introduced by Deputy Wade from the Newaygo Co. Road Commission. He
gave an informative talk on his work. He answered questions from
the floor.
Secretary’s report
approved.
Treasurer, Joan
Salisbury reported $528.32 in the treasury. She added the pen sale
of $21.00 making a total of $549.52.
New business: Be
thinking of nominations for new officers for next year.
Old business: House
number signs, t-shirts and flashing porch lights for sale.
Nancy Berends won the
pen donated and made by Dave Rondeau and $13.00 was collected.
Meeting adjourned at
8:30 p.m.
Refreshments were
served.
Next meeting date is
November 17th with Tom Greer from the Newaygo County
Jail.
