Meeting called to
order by Chairperson, Cindy Harwood at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag and a prayer by Ray Boerema.
Twenty-three residents
and guests present.
Deputy Green gave the
following Stats for the past month:
STATE POLICE: 2
assaults, l aggravated assault, 3 B&E’s, assist, l larceny, l fraud,
l drug arrest, l open container, 2 warrants, 4 accidents and 3
public relations.
NEWAYGO COUNTY
SHERIFF: 1 abduction (unfounded), 3 assaults, l B&E vacant house, l
larceny, 1 fraud, 1 arrest, 2 accidents, 1 parking violation, 2
inspections, 2 suspicious, 1 suicide, and 1 non-criminal.
Deputy Green
introduced our speaker for the evening, Mr. Gil Webb, U.S. Postal
Inspector who gave an interesting talk on mail fraud and identity
theft. He answered questions from the floor. He informed us that
it is very important to get your credit report for yourself once a
year.
Secretary’s report
approved.
Treasurer, Joan
Salisbury reported $601.82 in treasury and added $l5.00 from last
month’s pen raffle making a balance of $6l6.82 in the treasury.
A green pen was
handcrafted and donated by Dave Rondeau taking in $17.00 and was won
by Joan Salisbury.
No new business.
Old business:
Flashing porch lights, t-shirts and house number signs available.
