Ensley Township is a township located in Newaygo County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 2,474.

As of the census of 2000, there are 2,474 people, 841 households, and 686 families residing in the township. The population density is 26.8/kmē (69.3/mi). There are 939 housing units at an average density of 10.2/km (26.3/mi). The racial makeup of the township is 96.52% White, 0.28% African American, 0.57% Native American, 0.16% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.93% from other races, and 1.54% from two or more races. 2.02% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 841 households out of which 43.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.4% are married couples living together, 7.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.4% are non-families. 14.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.94 and the average family size is 3.25.

In the township the population is spread out with 31.8% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 107.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 106.9 males.
