The special meeting of the Ensley Township Board was called to order at 7:30 PM by Supervisor Starr.  The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and a Prayer.  Board members present were Phillip Starr, Cynthia Harwood, Faye Folkema, Brenda Bird, and John VanderMeulen.  There were five guests in attendance.

Public Comment:  7:32-7:33 PM.

New Business:

1.       Return of Escrow & ZBA Fee:  There was a motion by Folkema, seconded by Harwood to refund the ZBA meeting fee from Gould’s Mini Mart and the demolition escrow to Richard Page.  All ayes, motion carried.

Unfinished Business:

1.          Crandall Statue:  A workday was discussed for all Board members to meet at Crandall Cemetery after October 1 to clean up items that are not allowed under our ordinance.

2.          Planners Proposals:  The Planning Commission will discuss the three proposals at their next meeting.  VanderMeulen will report back to the Board at our August meeting.

3.          Building Committee Report:  Folkema commended the people of the building committee for their work.  There was a motion by Harwood, seconded by Bird to bring this item back to the Board at our regular December meeting to discuss our next step.  All ayes, motion carried.

4.          Zoning Administrator:  There was a motion by Starr, seconded by Harwood to hire Steve Boluyt as Zoning Administrator as per his proposal on a trial basis until January 1.  All ayes, motion carried.

Public Comment:  9:34 to 9:45PM.

Adjourn: There was a motion to adjourn by Bird/VanderMeulen.  All affirmed.
