When did you last stand with your child
under a majestic tree to admire its beauty or share the fun of
hunting for leaf shapes while going on a nature treasure hunt?
Research shows that experiences like these
help children build a lasting connection to the natural world and
the adults with whom they share these adventures.
The
goal of the Ensley Nature Preserve through the Families Club is to
inspire children and their families to connect with the natural
world and spend quality time together outdoors.
Family Club, meets monthly on the third
Saturday of the from October through May Time, 11:00AM to 2:00PM.
Family Club is open to all children with an adult family member to
attend together. All family members are invited to participate.
Families are encouraged to attend as often as schedules permit, but
activity pages will be posted on the web site.
Join by filling out a registration and
photo release form at the first meeting and turn it in to the
volunteer leading the activities that day.
Each month flyers will be posted on the web
page letting you know about upcoming events or books to read to
build up
the excitement of the monthly activity.
If you are unable to attend the first event
and want to be part of the Club, or have additional questions,
please contact, Barb Vander Meulen, 616-636-5814
