Board
was
called
to order
at 8:00
PM by
Supervisor
Knox.
The
meeting
was
opened
with the
Pledge
of
Allegiance
to the
Flag and
a
Prayer.
Board
members
present
were
Steve
Knox,
Cynthia
Harwood,
Faye
Folkema,
Joann
VandenBerg,
and John
VanderMeulen.
There
were
fifteen
guests.
Minutes
of
Previous
Meeting:
The
minutes
of
October
2, 2007
were
approved
with
correction
noted
without
objection.

totaling

VanderMeulen/VanderMeulen
made the
motion
to
accept
the
treasurer’s
report.

Building
Inspector:
There
were
five
building
permits
and one
electrical
permit.
Zoning
Administrator:
Barber
Creek
has
prepared
a
reclamation
plan
prepared
by a
licensed
engineer.
They do
need a
more
precise
timeline
for
reclamation.
We did
receive
a
written
report
from the
engineer
on
Ensley
Sand &
Gravel
which
needs
specifics.
There
was a
motion
by
VanderMeulen/Harwood
to
charge
$20.00
for a
hard
copy of
the
ordinance
and
$2.00
for a CD
copy.

Planning
Commission
Report:
The
work was
all on
the
Master
Plan
County
Commissioner
Report:
Mr.
Powell
was not
present.
Zoning
Board of
Appeals:
They
granted
a
variance
on
property
to allow
diminished
road
frontage
based on
the
owner
not
being
able to
buy more
road
frontage.

There
was a
motion
to
accept
the
resignation
of
Louise
Yowtz by
Folkema/VanderMeulen.

ayes,

Knox
recommended
Robert
Buchowing
to
complete
her
term,
this was
seconded
by
VanderMeulen.

affirmed.
2. Road
Report:
The Road
Commission
meeting
is on
Tuesday,
December
11 at
2:00
PM. Elm
Avenue
has been
blacktopped.
Knox/VanderMeulen
moved to
approve
the
overlay
of 128th
from
Butternut
to
Balsam.
Motion
withdrawn.
Motion
by
Harwood/Folkema
to get
an
estimate
for
grub,
gravel
and
grade
Beech/Butternut
from 120th
to 112th
for the
2008
project.
All
ayes,
motion
carried.
3. Township
Seal:
Verduin
presented
a copy
of Ben
Ensley’s
wind
tower.
This
will be
discussed
at our
December
meeting.
Old
Business:
1. Park
Ordinance:
There
was a
motion
by
VanderMeulen/Harwood
to pass
the Park
Ordinance.
There
was a
roll
call
vote
where
all
voted
aye.
2. Fire
Barn
Update:
Ark’s
Electric
installed
the fan
cages,
put in
new
bulbs,
worked
on the
air
compressor
switch
and is
working
on an
estimate
for a
central
pole.
The new
lock has
been
installed
on the
front
and back
doors of
the hall
and the
back
door has
been
fixed.

Operating
Fund was
$21,510.60
(Escrow
was
$3,375.00
from
VanKampen),
Road
Fund
$2,883.39,
and
$758.88
was from
the
Building
Inspection

to pay
the
bills.
