Clerk Harwood called the special meeting of the Ensley Township Board to order at 10:00 AM.  The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and a prayer.  Board members present were Cynthia Harwood, Faye Folkema, Steve Knox, John VanderMeulen, and Tim Bergman, Deputy Supervisor. 

There was a motion by Harwood/VanderMeulen to have Folkema chair the meeting.  All affirmed.

The purpose of the meeting was to appoint a new supervisor.  Recognition was given to Tim Bergman for serving as deputy supervisor.  Three people showed interest in the position:  Don Lehnert, Phil Starr and Steve Knox.   Knox noted that he would abstain from voting for the position.

Public Comment:  10:03 to 10:10 AM.

Motion by VanderMeulen/Folkema to nominate Steve Knox as supervisor.  2 ayes, 1 nay (Harwood)   Motion carried.

The trustee position will be open after Knox is sworn in and will be dealt with at the regular January meeting.

Adjourn:  The meeting adjourned at 10:15 AM.
